App privacy

Each headset app Simam Digital Ltd publishes has its own privacy policy, because each one does something different and a policy is only useful if it is specific. Our website is covered separately by our website privacy policy.

Our apps

• Simam Discover XR — mixed reality shared by people in the same room (com.simamdigital.simamdiscoverxr)
• EverWorld — free mixed reality for up to four players online (com.simamdigital.everworld)
• Simam Immersive Video — video and 3D-depth video, with a shared Watch Party (com.simamdigital.immersivemedia)

What is true of all of them

• We show no advertising and we do not sell your data.
• There is no analytics or tracking software of any kind in our apps.
• Voice chat is live only. We do not record it and we do not store it.
• We never receive a picture of your room and we cannot see through your headset's cameras.
• None of our apps use eye tracking or face tracking.
• They are intended for people aged 13 and over.
• There is no account to create with us, and no profile for us to keep.

Who is responsible for your data

Simam Digital Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14105316, and our registered office is 2 Windhill Road, Wakefield WF1 4BG, United Kingdom.

Your rights, and how to ask us to delete something

You have the right to ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred to someone else.

Email support@simamdigital.com and we will reply within one month. In practice, because the app keeps almost nothing about you on our systems, the honest answer to a deletion request is usually that there is nothing for us to delete — and we will say so plainly rather than pretend otherwise. Data that Meta holds about your account, including your avatar and your display name, is managed in your Meta account settings, where you can also remove the app's access to it.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
