A2RL VR App – Live Racing VR Streaming

    Simam Digital was engaged as the development for the creation of the A2RL VR App — a groundbreaking live streaming and immersive racing experience for the world’s first extreme autonomous racing series.

    A2RL (Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League) is a global showcase of cutting-edge autonomous technology, bringing together the world’s top educational and technological institutions to push the limits of AI-powered racing. Established by ASPIRE under the UAE’s Advanced Technology Research Council, A2RL is designed to accelerate R&D in AI, autonomous vehicles, and mobility innovation.

    The VR app allowed audiences to step directly into the racing action, streaming live autonomous F1-style racing from the iconic Yas Marina Circuit, enhanced with interactive 3D environments, real-time telemetry, and dynamic race visuals.

      First-Ever Extreme Autonomous Racing VR Experience – Developed for A2RL’s inaugural race on 27 April 2024, attended by 10,000+ live spectators and over 600,000 online viewers in just 12 hours.

      Immersive 3D Racing Environment – Recreated Yas Marina Circuit in VR, blending real-time video streaming with interactive 3D assets.

      Live Data Integration – Linked race telemetry (speed, position, overtakes) directly to 3D UI elements, updating live during the race.

      Cross-Platform Delivery – Optimized for Meta Quest headsets, mobile devices, and desktop platforms to maximize audience reach.

      – Users could switch between multiple viewing perspectives, including driver POV cameras, pit lane views, and aerial track flyovers.
