Simam Digital was commissioned by a creative agency partner to design and develop an immersive VR safety training simulation aimed at raising awareness of distracted driving risks in an industrial workforce.
The application was deployed during an internal corporate safety event, allowing dozens of employees to step inside high-impact, realistic driving scenarios. The goal was to educate, influence, and inspire behavioral change by showing the real-world consequences of fatigue, distraction, and speeding — all within a safe, controlled VR environment.
This project served as a proof of concept to demonstrate how VR can significantly enhance safety outcomes compared to traditional training methods.

Three Realistic Scenarios – Simulated high-risk driving situations:
Fatigue – Microsleep incidents at the wheel.
Distraction – Mobile phone use, in-car disruptions, environmental hazards.
Speeding – Reduced reaction times and collision risk.
Multi-Region Localization – North America & Europe variations, with English and Tagalog language support.
Immersive First-Person POV – Placed the user directly in the driver’s seat with full 360° 3D visuals.
Realistic Road Environments – Traffic signs, pedestrian crossings, dynamic vehicle AI, and emergency response sequences.
Impactful Accident Visualizations – Simulated crash sequences followed by emergency services arrival, reinforcing the consequences.
Engagement at Scale – Used throughout a full-day safety event, cycling employees through sessions in quick 2-minute scenario loops.

Interactive UI & Prompts – Designed intuitive on-screen instructions, controller tutorials, and interactive decision points.
State Machine & Event Timing – Controlled scenario flow, timed events, and triggered accident sequences.
Localization Support – Integrated English and Tagalog text options with regional road asset variations.
Performance Optimization – Maintained smooth performance for repeated use on Meta Quest devices without overheating or crashes.
Safety & Restart Logic – Added auto-restart on headset removal for continuous event operation.
